Awesome Review of The Driskill Reviewed June 1, 2023 I was vacationing in Austin, Texas and decided to try the Driskill hotel based on price, location, and it’s historical lore. The check-in process was smooth, staff were attentive and polite, and gave me a free beer!

Room With A Boo: The Haunted Hotels of Texas

Long story short, it is believed that two young women who were in the hotel for their honeymoons had both committed suicide by gruesomely shooting themselves in the stomach and bleeding out in the bathtub. The craziest part is that they both had stayed in room #525, and had both taken their lives in the same bathtub, EXACTLY 20 years apart.

Room 525 Driskill Hotel Story

Long story short, it is believed that two young women who were in the hotel for their honeymoons had both committed suicide by gruesomely shooting themselves in the stomach and bleeding out in the bathtub. The craziest part is that they both had stayed in room #525, and had both taken their lives in the same bathtub, EXACTLY 20 years apart.
We then hopped in the “haunted” elevator and immediately started googling. We read several articles specifically written about the Driskill Hotel Room 525 haunting. As the stories go… couple of brides had committed suicide in the bathroom on the same day, but in different years.
