Steps: For the banana bread: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease two 9-by-5-inch loaf pans with cooking spray. With an electric mixer, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in the bananas and vanilla.

add vanilla. and banana. mix flour, salt, and baking soda together in small bowl. add 1/2 of flour mixture to wet ingredients. add buttermilk. add rest of flour. stir in chopped nuts. pour into prepared pan. bake 40-50 minutes till golden and toothpick comes out with no doughy batter.
